I would like for this thread to be dedicated just for WV wrestling fans showing their appreciation to Peyton Hall and for what he has done in his career at WVU. After last night's victory at the All-Star Classic Peyton once again gave WV wrestling fans something good to cheer for and to be proud of. For the last four years Peyton has provided a bright spot in the lineup for all fans to cheer for. His two All-American finishes at the NCAA tournament are quite an accomplishment are something to be revered. He has also played a pivotal role in the recruiting of other top athletes on the team such a Ty Watters, Shawn Taylor, and Rune Lawrence, not to mention many others that I am not aware of, so his presence on the team will be felt for years to come. Along with being a good teammate and mentor Peyton is an incredibly nice young man. After meeting his father and being introduced to Peyton a few years ago, he has never failed to say hello any time he sees me at the golf outings or when I attend a match from time to time.
The intent of this thread is not to promote WVU wrestling, but rather just a place for all wrestling fans to say thank you to Peyton for giving all WV wrestling fans something to cheer for over the past 5 years. If you live within an hour or so from Oak Glen High School, you should try attending the upcoming match between WVU and Cal Baptist on Dec. 15th to help show your appreciation for his years of service in making WVU a viable wrestling team again. There would be no better feeling for him to show up to an absolute packed house at his old high school for one last match.
Good luck this year Peyton and go get'em champ!

Re: Peyton Hall
It is always great to see a home grown talent and true mountaineer succeed. It has been a joy to watch Peyton through his career at WVU and representing the mountain state!
Re: Peyton Hall
Kids had an insane career at WVU. I’d like to see him kept around on the staff but no idea if he’s interested in coaching or not.

I had planned to attend this WVU match at Oak Glen as soon as it was announced. Unfortunately nothing I ever came across ever said you needed or even could buy tickets in advance. Just saw in this morning's newspaper that no tickets would be sold at the door. I tried to immediately contact the school to buy tickets but could not get through. Finally sought out a diffrent method and was told tickets had just sold out. Just letting everyone know so they don't needlessly make the trip. Would have thought this aspect would have been made known by WVU.
At any rate, at least Peyton will have a full house. He has my congratulations, as he has had in the past! This time they just won't be in person.
