Washington High School, Charles Town WV, is hosting their Elite Opener on December 6 2025. All wrestlers will get 5 matches, wrestlers will be seeded 1st through 12th, then put into 3 pools of 4. Depending on how they finish in their pool will determine what placing matches they will be put into- example the top wrestler in each pool will wrestle for 1st-3rd and bottom wrestlers from each pool will wrestle for 10th-12th. All teams that finish in the top 8 will be able to return, while the bottom 4 and any new teams will have to apply. A committee will choose the best 5 that apply this year to keep the tournament tough. Results from 2024 are on track if you’d like to look at them. Girls will wrestle in their own tournament on Friday, December 5th.
