Question about classifications
Question about classifications
How did they decide for wrestling where teams would be classified. I see teams like Bridgeport and Fairmont who should be quad A in football but somehow sneak into AAA but in wrestling they are in the biggest class AAA. Then a team like Lewis County who should and was AAA in football is now AA in wrestling? I’m just curious how it was split up.
Re: Question about classifications
I believe the biggest criteria for classification is student enrollment. Bridgeport and Fairmont are around 800 students. Why would that be AAAA in football? I believe there is a “socio-economic” factor as well, but I doubt anyone can really define what that means so it gives them liberty to place schools wherever they want. But, we see how that worked with all the lawsuits during football season…

Re: Question about classifications
Classifications are a mess..... Look at AAA regional alignment, this is insane and easily fixed but it seems like we always have a basketball guy trying to make decisions in this sport.
